What is Bromohidrosis? Commonly called FOOT ODOR it is caused by sweaty, smelly feet which do not itch or have a rash. We have more then 250,000 sweat glands in our feet and some people these glands work more then others.
It can be caused by closed shoes and this sets up the perfect environment for bacteria to grow and this leads to more odor
At Advance Care Clinic we recommend that you spray Lysol into the shoes a couple times a wk. Keep shoes and socks dry. Do not wear the same pair of shoes every day. Let them "air out" in between wearing. Wear socks that wick away moisture. At Advanced Foot Care Clinic we offer socks that contain Bamboo fibers in them which help to wick away moisture and it is a natural fiber. At the clinic we offer Zeasorb AF powder which is an antifungal, antibacterial powder. On our website we offer a foot spray by Pediflex called Pedifix Neat Feat Cool foot spray. Also on the website and in the clinic we have the fungasoap which contains Tea Tree oil and is an antifungal, antibacterial foot wash. When showering just put some of the soap on washcloth and wash feet and rinse.
